Bi-directional Sync
Messages sent in Slack appear in the mapped Microsoft Teams channel, and replies from Teams come back to Slack. Real time in both directions, driven by webhooks rather than polling.
Mentions That Notify
Type a teammate's name in a bridged channel and that person gets a real notification on the other platform. SlackBridge posts the list of addressable names into each channel - type one exactly as shown, because Microsoft Teams will not suggest them as you type. Not available in private or shared Teams channels, and not in a message whose file SlackBridge copies across.
Threaded Replies
A reply in a Slack thread arrives as a reply on the matching Teams message, and a reply in Teams lands inside the matching Slack thread. If the parent message is more than seven days old the reply still arrives, as a new message rather than in the thread.
Two-Way File Sharing
A file shared on either side is copied into the mapped channel on the other, and images pasted straight into a Teams message arrive in Slack as real images. On from the start for new Full Integration installs, and any admin can switch it off per connection. Files pass through in transit and are never stored on our servers.
Reactions and Emoji
A Microsoft Teams reaction becomes a native Slack reaction. A Slack reaction arrives in Teams as a short visible message, because Microsoft gives third-party apps no way to add a reaction to an existing Teams message. 15 Teams reaction types are mapped, and 41 common Slack shortcodes render as Unicode in Teams.

Yes! While there's no native integration between Slack and Microsoft Teams, SlackBridge provides a seamless bridge. Messages you send in Slack appear in your client's Teams channel, and their replies come back to Slack instantly.
How secure is SlackBridge?
SlackBridge uses OAuth 2.0 for authentication and the official Microsoft Graph API for Teams integration. We're 100% serverless, messages relay in real-time and full message content is not stored. Temporary metadata is retained for up to 7 days to support thread synchronization. All connections are encrypted on enterprise-grade infrastructure.
Do my clients need to install anything?
Your client's Microsoft 365 admin needs to approve the connection via a consent link. With Full Integration, that's all they do - SlackBridge handles bot installation automatically. With Core Bridging, their admin also adds the SlackBridge bot to their Teams workspace manually (simple instructions are provided). Either way, end users just message normally in Teams while you stay in Slack.
What's the difference between SlackBridge and migrating from Slack to Teams?
Migration means abandoning Slack entirely and moving to Teams. SlackBridge lets you keep using Slack while communicating with Teams users. No migration, no retraining, no lost integrations.
Can I connect to multiple Teams tenants?
Yes! Agencies and consultancies can connect their single Slack workspace to multiple client Teams tenants. Each client organization is managed separately with its own linked channels.
Can we share files between Slack and Teams?
Yes. With file sharing on, the file itself is relayed into the mapped channel in both directions; with it off, a file shared on one side is announced on the other by name and type. Images pasted directly into a Teams message are copied too, arriving in Slack as real images. New Full Integration installs have it on from the start, covered by the Microsoft administrator's consent at install, and any admin can turn it off per connection in the dashboard. Connections created before September 2026, and Core Bridging connections, stay announcement-only until someone enables it: the Slack workspace authorizes two file scopes and the Microsoft Teams administrator approves the request from the Organizations table. Files pass through in transit and are never stored on SlackBridge servers.

Is this the same as Slack Connect?

What permissions does SlackBridge require?
On the Slack side, SlackBridge requests 15 bot scopes to read, write, and manage channels, messages, reactions, and shared files for bridging. On the Microsoft side, it depends on which setup method you choose. Core Bridging requests 6 read-focused permissions for organizations with strict IT policies.
